Yesterday morning Campbell got stuck while trying to put his footie jammies back on. He came to me for help, and when I pointed out that his sleeve was inside out, he said, "Oh, it's inside out. You a genius, momom."
I nearly died laughing.
But then I realized that I've hit an interesting stage in my life. Campbell thinks I'm brilliant, but the girls, Ella in particular, have hit the age where they think I'm an idiot.
Maybe I average out to mediocre.

Put the blinders on and go with brilliant. (Forget mediocre, it's over-rated.)
According to my kids, I'm Forrest Gump in a dress.
Definitely a genius!
My kids think i'm an idiot too :(
Just wait 'til they have kids....you'll be brilliant again.
oy the first eye rolls are going to kill me!
my coworkers think i'm a genius because i told them dinosaurs and humans didn't exist at the same time. it's all relative.
I'm with Campbell!
My five year old says he is smarter than I because, "You don't even go to school." I suppose he has a point.
Ha! I haven't hit the point of idiocy yet, but I know it's coming. I'm banking on it. And praying that I get my genius back again after a decade or so...
Based on my experience, I'm voting brilliant.
