Oh, I so agree. That should be outlawed immediately. Also school-age children who chose such nights to get up multiple times in a row in the middle of the night.
Oh, no, I HATE that! You're right, definitely should be outlawed. Hope you're able to get some rest. I've started my taxes, I'm sure I'll be joining you a bit this week.
OHH YESSS!! I hate insomnia. I get it, too, and it's just the worst to not be able to sleep while your kids are and you know soon they're going to be up!
It's one of those vicious cycle things, you start worrying about everything you need to do, then that you won't be able to do it because you're not sleeping, but you can't sleep because you're worrying... At least that's how it works for me. Sometimes, if you can just get up and DO the thing that's keeping you up, it helps. Sometimes you just can't sleep. Hope it gets better.
I'd put on some Manilow, if I had any, and read teen novels, but I do share a room with my husband, and he doesn't like it when I turn on the light in the middle of the night. Can't imagine why.

Oh dear - were you worrying? I usually get that way when I'm super tired and can't stop worrying. ARRGGHH!!

aaarrrgggh. I KNOW! That's when a shot of alcohol is handy. Actually Sleep MD works pretty well. Too bad I didn't have any in the house last night.

Put on some mellow Manilow. That's what I'd do...
